Actually, pretty much "any" AMD microprocessor should work. However, only
the MP series is certified and guaranteed by AMD to work in a multiprocessor
configuration.
Fun Fact: The AMD K6 line was SMP capable. It just does not make any
sense to build an SMP chipset for an "economy class" microprocessor, so
nobody ever did.
