This is an internal machine right? If you apply the patches, SP's, and you set access permissions I don't see any problems. Anyone else?

Why not add the machine to the domain? Just set it as a stand alone...no services, shares, active directory etc. and you will be able to take advantadge of the benefits of the user account base. I remember someone has asked this before, but I can't find the email! Here it is: We have one IIS-FTP Server on W2K-Server. This server is not joined to the domain, but it's connected to the internal network. Now, because ftp authentication is on username/password, is there anyway we can use domain users for authenticating without joining this server to the domain?
