-make the standalone machines workgroup name the same as the domain name you want to authenticate -export the user names to a file and import them to the standalone machines local accounts -duplicate all the passwords
anyone else have any better ideas? -----Original Message----- From: Fard, MotaX [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2001 6:15 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: Group Issue Hello and Sorry everybody. I remember someone has asked this before, but I can't find the email! Here it is: We have one IIS-FTP Server on W2K-Server. This server is not joined to the domain, but it's connected to the internal network. Now, because ftp authentication is on username/password, is there anyway we can use domain users for authenticating without joining this server to the domain? Thanks, Mota ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------ You are subscribed as [email protected] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
