Still no dice my friend. It just goes to a blank screen with a blinking curso in the upper left. Is this just the shutdown of it? It never boots up and needs to go to the disk checker thingy

Do the SSD again. Try this order. ROM, SP2, SSD. Since you did the ROM already, no reason to do that again. Do not reboot after service pack install. Install SSD immediately after the SP2 install.
