I recall Norton or one of them used to do this because it is switching modes to scan the floppy but gets hung up when it tries to switch back. Their is a setting to turn this off or you can change it to perform this task differently. It now does not like to bring the pc to the shutdown screen. It doesn't auto shut off like more other pcs of today, but it used to bring the machine to it's now safe to shutdown your computer. Any thoughts on how to get it going again?
