You really should get someone with Windows 2000 Administration
experience to sit down and go over administration with you. No offense,
but from your question I think you are way over your head already..

Subject: Max file open on Window 2000

What is the max amount of files Windows 2000 can open simultaneously?

I have a Windows 2000 Server with about 20 workstations. The program
says
that I should set in the config.sys. FILES=XX where XX = 60 times the

amount of workstations, which would be 1200.

So, it would be FILES=1200

Is this correct for windows 2000? Using the config.sys or do I have to
edit
the registery somewhere?

TIA

Jacob
