You could use an algorithm of a phrase. e.g.

"Good Grief My Job Is so Great" = goodgmj1sg
"I Wish I was on Holiday" = 1w1w0h

where you use the first word and the first letter of each subsequent word ,
plus replacing any o and i with 0 and 1

just and example.

In any case I would still keep any passwords you do not use frequently on
two floppy disks (*not* pasword protected) and in separate locations, eg in
a locked safe in a locked room. The disks are also handy for when (if there
are many of you) an admin leaves, to know what passwords need changing.

Hi there,

Is there a formula how to create a good administrator's password? Each
time I am setting up a new server, I am having great difficulty to think
of a good password. Any tips here would be appreciated.

Thank you.
