In that case, if you use Cisco you can put the post-it-note on the CiscoWorks server, or possibly one of the laptops you might use to "console" in. For the firewall, we post the password on one of the web sites along with a downloadable copy of SSH.
Seriously though, I forgot the question. Oh yeah! Security is best implemented in layers, so if someone has time and the access to run a password crack on your machines, then there are other problems to worry about.
