-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello all,
I have a sort of general question for you NT/2k users out there. I have been 'stuck' managing our backup system here for almost a year now. Finally I got management to kick down some money for a new server, the old one actually used SIMMs..! So I got my new backup server whahoo..! Now I am working on a software upgrade, getting funding now is about as easy as pulling teeth.. I tool over this position a while ago and quickly found out how horrible CA products are.. The software the we have been running is ARCserveIT 6.61 and it has been a nightmare... The only option that we have is the Exchange server online backup option. My question is this, It is obviously cheaper to stay on the CA track and upgrade to ARCserve 2k which I have no experience with or dump CA for Veritas and go Backup Exec. Does anyone run either of these products..? Pros or Cons would be much appreciated. We run a small network of about 20 servers so client agent reinstalls wouldn't be too bad. Just wondering what experiences others have had with either product. Support does seem to be a mild factor, because now CA charges for support(which isn't that good anyway) and from what I understand Veritas charges as well... Any info would be appreciated... ~John -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 7.0.3 for non-commercial use <http://www.pgp.com> iQA/AwUBPEwlILlMSqGNvpxoEQIMJgCfeW4VV2aKJ1nmhe7/Eb9R8rTvfAcAoPR0 Mw3a7E2YhjVcTzjArdlt6KzW =E8ya -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------ You are subscribed as [email protected] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
