my host has a web-based power switch I can access. (the web page says:
web/snmp management card from APC [www.apcc.com]) Hate using it
though....the time between hitting 'immediate power off' and being able to
see that the thing came back up is ...umm...unpleasant.
That time-out solution seems to be my only option and probably is workable.
But persistant guy that I am....
The sessions listed under the terminal services manager shows my username.
It would seem possible to use Windows Scripting Host to check that object
hourly; look for 2 users with my username; if found, kill the disconnected
one.
Advantage being that I can be assured of logging back into my last desktop
state even if I don't re-login for a couple days. Granted....that's a minor
convienance but ... [shrug]
thankx
