Hi Tony, We do not use RIS , but use Ghost and SMS /login scripts. We refresh the ghost image with the hotfix and deploy the hotfix to exiswting Pcs via login script or SMS
I assume you are talking about XP Pro? Do you have the technet CD? on the Cd there is a resource kit for XP Pro and dynamic update looks the way to go. I think slipstreaming is really only at SP level. http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/DUProcedur e/Dynamic%20Update.htm cheers Dean -----Original Message----- From: Woods, Tony G AG:EX [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, 26 March 2002 10:04 a.m. To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: Windows Update Switches Thanks Dean... I did come across that in my searches. My problem is that I'm trying to do something similar to 'slipstreaming'... Where you can apply the SP to a RIS image. Is there a way to do this with the hotfixes? My problem is that I've applied a hotfix to my XP image and now I can't use RIPrep to take an image because it thinks it's newer than the CD based image on the server.
