No, it's not updated. That's the only file I need to have updated though because we're using RIPrep to push the image back to the server and then using that image as the one that gets pasted to the PC's. See, I have two generic XP images on the server now, one that RIS used in the beginning from CD, and one that I created from a folder as outlined in the slipstreaming process. That image has the the updated ntoskrnl.exe file and I won't be using that image to download onto PC's.

When Q317277 gets applied, it updates the ntoskernl.exe and thus makes your image appear 'newer' than what's on the server. What I did do though to get around this because of a deadline was remove the hotfix and script it in the RunOnce key so that when the image gets pasted, the hotfix gets applied when logged in for the first time.
