Just one question - where would I go to 
"Make sure all DCs list the same set of dynamic-update-enabled DNS servers."

  Make sure all DCs list the same set of dynamic-update-enabled DNS servers.

  Try NETDIAG, DCDIAG, and NLTEST (search the MS KB for tips on using
these).

  Check the logs on the DNS server for any errors, especially "update
denied" messages.

  Check the logs on the DCs for any messages from the "NetLogon" service
about errors registering DNS records.
