Leonard,

All my subnets are locally (in one area). So, I can do as follow - Active
Sites and Servers -> Sites -> Subnet -> then add all my subnets here?  Is
that correct?

Depends on where all your Subnets are.

At lease one DC/GC placement is recommended for each Active Directory site.
It is possible to have multiple subnets in one site.  If you have designed
your Active Directory sites properly then each site should have at lease one
DC/GC.  Optimally, you should have two DC/GC for redundancy.
