Any admin worth his/her salt knows how to "play" with the registry, and has no problem with it. And I agree with almost every statement you make. But why do something when you don't have to? To make my car run better, I *could* tear down the engine every 5,000 miles, but I prefer to just change the oil...

I know it works on any NT4/2000 machine though. And since I didn't HACK THE REGISTRY (<G>) when I used it, I don't know how it stores the info. I can send it to you privately if you'd like; a search on MS-KB for AUTOLOG will probably tell you as much as I can, too. Todd C.
