Correct, it only tells you what you need, as well as what's installed,
depending on the option used.  type hfnetchk -? for optopn list.  It does
not install anything.

Shavlik's Hfnetchk Pro product can install hotfixes.  They have a free
version (Hfnetchk Pro Free) that allows you to scan and install to a single
computer on your network so you can try it out.  It does what it's supposed
to with reasonable efficiency, but I can't justify its cost for the size of
my network (<50 users).  Anyone else used it?
