Interesting... I've got same issue on my plate. We used Q307900 as well with no success. We are trying to expand legal notice/message text so that upon logon a multi line legal notice including blank lines appears. The behavior we are seeing is after the first blank line the logon message text truncates.
We have not run Adminpak.msi on the XP client. If the next steps MS recommends fails, I'll try that as well.
