It depends on what frame type is bound to the server NIC. If you are using
an older client you certainly need to force the frame type instead of
letting it choose. Look at the autoexec.ncf file on the sys volume and that
should tell you what frame type.
The latest client works very well in detecting the correct frame type.

What is happening is 2000 clients are constantly losing connectivity to the
netware server. I am thinking that a client upgrade and/or the frame type
may be to blame.
I realize 3.11 is old, it should be upgraged, it is not 2k compliant. I got
all that. Unfortunately I am merely supporting a company that does not want
to spend the money to upgrade. I just need to get their issue at hand fixed.
Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks all.

Does anybody know the correct frame type to use on a windows 2000 box
connecting to a Novell 3.11 server? Is it 802.2 802.3? Thanks
