Ha Ha. It just amazes me how business people think some times. I put in business terms and they still don't get it.
"Your entire company relies on this hunk of junk server and operating system. If for any reason this thing fails to the point there is major damage and you need professional Novell support, you are S**T out of luck. They won't help you. Hence, your company going out of business or being inoperable for a very long time". Business person logic: "It won't happen to me" -----Original Message----- From: Roche, Andy [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, July 11, 2002 9:38 AM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: Novell 3.11 Been a while, but if I remember, Novell used 802.3 for 3.x, and switched to 802.2 for 4.x. Hope that helps. Might I suggest a neat little fire or something that destroys all equipment, and copies of the NOS? Then you would be able to tell them that there is no way to get new media, so they have to upgrade or switch! j/k, but the thought is fun. W. I am thinking that a client upgrade and/or the frame type may be to blame. I realize 3.11 is old, it should be upgraged, it is not 2k compliant. I got all that. Unfortunately I am merely supporting a company that does not want to spend the money to upgrade. I just need to get their issue at hand fixed. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks all. Is it 802.2 802.3?
