You need to consider the throughput of the RAID volumes, the speed of the PCI interface (32-bit vs 64-bit, 33 MHz vs 66 MHz), and the number of PCI buses in your system. For example, if you only have a single PCI bus in your system, the bandwidth will be shared between all the controllers anyway.
