I guess my question is what the hell is your boss doing with a boat when you have
users impacted by step he/she took? Without knowing what exactly was changed the
answer to your question will be elusive. Good luck.

Subject: Access woes

So yesterday, one of the senior developers got canned (not on good terms).
He knew a few admin passwords, so my boss (I'm the intern) took measures to
prevent his getting pissed and destroying us from the inside-out.

A bunch of passwords were changed, the user's account was disabled and his
VPN locked out, and his email was shut off.

Now this morning, no one on the domain (except for me, with my slightly
elevated privileges) can access their network drives. I checked the
share/file-level permissions to make sure everything was in order, and it
seemed to be ok, but still no access.

My boss is out today, taking his boat out of the water, so I ask the list,
What else should I check?

TIA
