This is a server, not a workstation, right?  AD doesn't install on
workstations.

To install on your server, you run a program called dcpromo.  Type it in the
"Run" box and walk through the wizard.  There's more to it than just running
this program, though.  Mark Minasi and others have written books about AD.
I'd recommend Minasi's book, "Mastering Windows 2000 Server" for a complete
walk through of anything at all to do with this subject.

This isn't meant as a copout.  Your question is somewhat vague, and AD is a
REALLY complex topic.  Good luck.
