Luke, Are you trying to add the new Win2K server (I assume AD is installed, making it a DC) to an existing WinNT4.0 domain? Not possible. Win2K DC cannot exist in a domain where an NT4.0 PDC exists - they are both trying to do the same job.
The Win2K DC needs to start in it's own domain.
