I'm having the same problem with NT 4.0 SP6a. BE engine stops about every couple of weeks.

I have two clients now including our home office, where the BE job engine shuts down, try to restart and it will shut down again shortly. Works fine for awhile, then happens again. Grrr what a nuisance. Server is Win2k/sp3.
