When we try to map to our web server (NT4, sp6) we receive the following message:
Mapped network drive could not be created because following error occurred: No logon servers available to to service logon request. Then, when I look at the Event Viewer it says: No domain controller was available to validate your logon. A domain controller could not be contacted. You have been logged on using cached account information. Changes to your profile since you last logged on may not be available. A couple of MS KB's mention the problem may be in an ethernet switch. That the Spanning Tree Algorithm should be disable. Then another KB says that the spanning tree portfast setting SHOULD be enabled (which it is). We have Cisco switch. The other thing that confuses me is that I can map to other servers without a problem. Also, this has recently become a problem. It was working at one point. I need help. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks **************************************** The information supplied in this message may be legally privileged.
