We have a similar VPN problem that *seems* to only affects some users: User connects to ISP, picking up dns server details from them along the way.
User then connects to VPN, getting wins, dns servers, etc from the VPN server. This can be confirmed by an ipconfig /all. When user tries to connect to anything on our network by name, either UNC or even FQDN, it fails. Running nslookup, we find it is using the ISP DNS server. We worked round it with a hosts file, but is there any way of forcing the VPN IP config to be the higher preference one? Also, any idea why it only happens to some clients?
