I'm not talking about File permissions.
I'm talking about File associations with programs.

If the local drive has NTFS partitions then permissions can be set per
file/folder/user. If it's FAT/FAT32 you can't w/out 3rd party tools.

Subject: Per-user File Associations

Hi all, is there a way to allow per-user file associations for regular users
of Win2k professional?
Somehow, the default is that regular users cannot manipulate File
associations on their own systems.
We're using AD, so maybe through policies?

Any help is appreciated.
