I think you'll find the performance of an 88MB Access database across WAN to be unacceptable. TS is a good solution.

I am trying to implement a remote connection infrastructure. The company runs an Access DB. Does it make sense to use VPN and have the users open Access locally and run the DB across the connection? Or, have them use VPN w/TS and run the DB local to the server? I'm looking for some feedback on best practices as well as cost considerations. Please assume that all remote connections are DSL/Cable and that the maximum number of remote concurrent users is 10. The DB is approximately 88MB. Thanks in advance. Carmine Poliandro ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=nt2000&text_mode=&lang=e nglish To unsubscribe send a blank email to %%email.unsub%% ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=nt2000&text_mode=&lang=english To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
