Hi there, I was having some difficulty yesterday with my 2000 server. I have it set up with Exchange 5.5/OWA, but i also run Winroute Pro (proxy software) on it too for Shared Internet access. I have set up Internal DNS so if i down the proxy, i can ping all Internal clients by their FQDN. What i would really like to do is set up External DNS so i can dump the software proxy..............question is, is this feasable? can i use DNS alone for shared Internet access? Do i get my DNS server to forward requests to a DNS server on the Internet? If so how do i set that.
