here is a mini mini-howto .... When starting NTOP you can specificy a file to use which defines your protocols. YOu can either specify the port number, or the protocol name as long as its defined in you /etc/services file (assuming you are running *nix).
Here is an exmaple of my protocol list. (Note: If you man ntop you will see the default protocol list.) [blake@GOTCHA11 bin]$ cat protocol.list FTP=ftp|ftp-data HTTP=http|www|https|3128 DNS=name|domain Telnet=telnet|login NBiosIP=netbiosns|netbiosdgm|netbiosssn Mail=pop-2|pop-3|pop3|kpop|smtp|imap|imap2 DHCP-BOOTP=67-68 SNMP=snmp|snmptrap NNTP=nntp NFS=mount|pcnfs|bwnfs|nfsd|nfsdstatus SSH=22 Messenger=1863|5000|5001|5190-5193 IBMClientAccess=449|5555|8470-8479 IBMPrinting=9100 Canaveral=3389|4660|2287 SQLNet=1521 AIM=5190 PPTP=1723 tFTP=tftp --- Andrew White <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, > > Anyone got a mini howto for adding protocol > definitions to ntop ? > > Want to get the 'other' information reduced down by > adding known > protocols that we use, like lotus notes etc. > > Tks > > /Andrew > > > > _______________________________________________ > Ntop mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
