I think that the not-saving-the-config thing was my fault - you're right, there is/was a red message on the sflow plugin...
anyway, the version i 'backed out' to is the one that comes with Suse 8.1. It seems to work, although it's obviously missing some features that 2.2 has... 2.2, however, still refuses to stop correctly, and will hang/crash and take up 100% of the CPU after about 30 min of operation. I'm going to poke through the configure options again and see if I might have messed anything up in the installation, then will start a test instance and see how stable it is. If i can still reproduce the problem, I'll file another PR with the relevant bits listed... --- "Burton M.
