Question 1: Is it true that NTOP must be plugged into a hub to see
"all" network traffic?

>NTOP must be configured in a SPAN port in a switched environment.

Question 2: Does anyone else think of switches like my boss does?

>I think you're boss is referring to the main distribution frame like in
MDF, but does not understand fully. That's us management :).

Question 3: Anyone willing to comment as to why NetProbe sees much more
than NTOP on our 3Com switch?

>Is your NetProbe (www.newobjects.com) running on W32 or linux
environment? I've played around with NetProbe, and reason why you're
seeing much of the traffic is because of the host operating system's
broadcasting with other services on W32.

Thanks to anyone willing to take this one. Feel free to call names and
be mean, if necessary.

>We like to make front of others, we keep that to ourselves :).
