The sad thing is that the code doesn't ever seem to have made it into 3.0 -
what's there is a pale shadow of what we worked on.

Try this --

After ./configure, edit config.h and look for #define INET6 1.  Change that
to #undef INET6.

Do the usual gmake and gmake install.

When you start ntop, be sure and give a full -w specification, i.e. -w
192.168.x.x:3000

It takes a LONG time for the 1st page to come up, but it seems ok after
that.

FWIW, I think this a known FreeBSD specific problem that was dealt with in
ntop 3.0 with the --set-pcap-nonblocking option.

This option appears to be necessary with FreeBSD 4.x
