Hi, I am a newbie with ntop, and just starting to manage it, so my knowledge is very limited. Even though, I had that problem before. If you set up from the web console the parameter local network, problem wont be solved. But I solved it stopping ntop, and launching it again with the flag -m local network. Then, when you restart it again, IPs will be well classified as local/non local.
Maybe it works fine for you.
