If I use the -n switch the IP addresses of the hosts are being shown instead of localhost. The -m switch does not have any effect on this issue. I have also verified that reverse DNS is working properly (e.g. "host 192.168.100.100" returns a valid response as "100.100.168.192.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer darnold.wjp.de."). I have put up a config dump here: http://utopia4.de/tmp/ntopconf/

Hosts normally are resolved through reverse DBS lookup -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Daniel Arnold Sent: 05 July 2007 08:38 To: [email protected] Subject: [Ntop] ntop and NAT Hi, I have ntop running on a linux box which is a NAT router for our local network. This is running fine, so far, but I noticed one annoying issue: Any host on the LAN is named "localhost". The links refer to the correct IP address but it is impossible to get a quick overview of the network load / traffic when every host is called "localhost". Is there any way to get around this?
