You probably need to install librrd2-dev [actually, that's in etch. I'm
not sure what it is in lenny] to grab the appropriate rrd libraries/headers.
I don't think the config script is looking for the binary.

my rrd plugin is installed under /usr/bin/rrdtool, but still doesn't
work.
