<more stuff snipped> Permissions, permissions, permissions. From my email a while ago: With ntop, when in doubt, always check permissions ;) Does user "nobody" have permission to write to /usr/local/var/ntop? I've always found it best to run ntop as root the first run, set the admin pass, then go back and change permissions to match the user you plan to run ntop as. I run ntop as "nobody", so here's my perms for /usr/local/var/ntop: drwxr-xr-x 4 nobody nobody 4096 2008-05-21 18:39 /usr/local/var/ntop/ keep in mind that ntop also stores the html in /usr/local/share/ntop: drwxr-xr-x 3 nobody nobody 4096 2008-05-21 14:45 /usr/local/share/ntop/ Hope that helps.
