A Message from the NTCI Parents Mailing List:

April 2, 2019

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It has come to our attention that a number of North Toronto students intend to
take part in a student walkout being planned for Thursday, April 4 at 1:15 p.m.
The province-wide walkout is to protest the Ontario government's recently
announced changes to education. To be clear, this is not a TDSB-sanctioned
event, nor are we encouraging students to take part, however we wanted you to
be aware of what is being planned.

One of the very top priorities at our school is safety. To that end, staff will
be working with organizing students to ensure the well-being of all those
participating. School administration and other staff will be present to ensure
that students are safe throughout the demonstration. We have also contacted
Toronto Police so that they are aware.

As a school, we encourage students to be well-informed about issues in our
society, to think critically, and to express themselves respectfully and
responsibly in articulating views they may have.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school.

Sincerely,

William Mack
Principal
North Toronto CI
