I think that Vista and Win7 was the exception. And, in fact, I remember having 
specific issues with that; but they may have been customer related.

Really? I thought you could use the same style of roaming profiles on 2000/XP 
and Vista/7 (not that I ever tried - I didn't have a 2000 or Vista machine)
