For anyone trying to improve their public speaking skills your local 
Toastmasters club (http://reports.toastmasters.org/findaclub/) can be a 
great place to practice and improve.

I used to be completely paralyzed in front of crowds.  Toastmasters has 
given me the skills to overcome that and advance in my career. There's 
an advanced manual specifically for Technical Presentations.  A quick 
google search came up with:
