+1 Get the optional directional antenna, and put the USB receiver on the end of a ~5 foot USB extension cord, so you can walk around with a laptop while pointing it at various things. I think the direction-finding/homing approach is prolly more useful than having it log data over time, since all that can do is confirm you have some RF noise -- it won't tell you where, and likely not even what. If the symptoms are really intermittent, though, long term logging with the omnidirectional antenna may reveal if the symptoms correlate with an RF noise spike. What MetaGeek/WiSpy won't help with is problems other than layer 1. In other words, it will find RF sources which can screw up your wireless, but if the problem is due to an AP screwing up 802.11 protocol details, or something like that, it won't help. -- Ben
