"Share Permissions" in the "Share and storage management console" I used the wizard to provision the share- (guess i shouldn't have expected it to work) because as it turns out you are absolutley right, the NTFS permissions it created doesnt even show the everyone group- only Creator/owner SYSTEM Administrators (Server_name\Administrators) Users (Server_Name\Users)

In any event the more restrictive right takes precedence. If NTFS says “everyone: none” and the share permission says “everyone:all” the effective rights are “none.” Have you used the resulting permissions tool?
