We're an ISP that were providing Postini to customers until earlier this year.
We implemented a hosted Barracuda solution. About 15% of our user base screamed bloody murder, mainly because their whitelists were not migrated over and there were a lot of false positives. Also, Postini tended to filter any and all marketing style mailing lists by default, whereas Barracuda tends to let those through and put the burden on the end-user to unsubscribe themselves from the lists. After a few months, though, most of the pain has gone away. We are also in the process of acquiring another small hosting company that switched their users to MailProtector. So far, in experimenting between the two, we have found that the quality of the filtering is about equal between the two products. I'm leaning towards GFI but thought passing it by the list might give some insight into other products. Must be Windows-based (not my call).
