And when vnc remotes it I'll be it flips the box to basic, non Aero right?
I'll be they are click2run and sp1 got installed?
What I posted to the Patch management list:
Outlook update KB2863911 introduces an issue where the Outlook tile is
blank. It can be solved by uninstalling KB2863911 or installing Office
2013 sp1.

Office 2013 sp1 depends on the interaction with DirectX. If you find
that you can't open Office 2013 after the install of sp1, ensure that
you have an up to date video driver or Disable hardware graphics
acceleration. While some have indicated that going into video settings
and taking the machine out of Aero is another way to fix this, I don't
consider that an optimal solution.

Office 2013 Home & Business Edition
Suddenly, as of this morning, we've had a few users experiencing
issues with Outlook 2013. Outlook will open and hang infinitely -
UNTIL we make a remote connection to the users machine with either VNC
or DameWare MRC. As soon as that remote connection is established
Outlook opens and everything is fine. We can close, reopen, close,
reopen all day long, but once the remote connection is dropped, the
user is unable to successfully reopen Outlook again..
We've tried an Office repair, created new mail profiles, checked for
updates, etc., but haven't been able to get past this issue for these
users. Two of the users are in the office, one is remote and working
via VPN.
Excel and Word also are having some similar, though not exact, issues,
but Outlook is the main culprit at this time.
