I am not fully in accord with the way 1 laptop per child delivers to their mandate, but their intent is noble. Money's from devices sold in 1st world countries helps them to work in developing nations. Haven't used one to comment on their functionality. http://one.laptop.org/stories/xo-tablet I'm just Playbookin' around From: "J- P" <[email protected]> To: "NT" <[email protected]> Sent: 23 March, 2015 10:42 AM Subject: [NTSysADM] OT:Tablet for children Hi all,
I'm looking for a tablet for my niece & nephew ( 8 &5), one perquisite is that it cannot REQUIRE any type of monthly subscription (their parents are quite frugal lol ). As it is they are only allowed to play games (on our phones or tablet) on weekends, but I want it to be more than a toy/game I want it to be educational as well so I was contemplating a kindle. Ipad's are definitely out of running , so any other thoughts/suggestions are welcomed. thanks |
