Have done 6 in place upgrades to devices in our house, or other family members. All have gone on without a single issue and was very simple really. A bit of sitting around while it is doing the actual upgrade but the whole process seems to be nothing to be scared of.

I know this is the preferred/supported path per Microsoft, but I have NEVER been a fan of in-place upgrades… (GET OFF MY LAWN!)…. I’ve got several Win 7 Pro systems at home that I disabled the win 10 notifications, though I plan to upgrade them and was wondering just how much of a pain or success it has been. Yes, I know, Win 10 has 5,000 bazillion users now, but I’d like to hear from some fellow engineers….who have to be the Help Desk for their families…. Thanks!
