Had zero problems with in place upgrades. Three of mine, and a fair number of friends and co-workers have had the same experience.

I know this is the preferred/supported path per Microsoft, but I have NEVER been a fan of in-place upgrades… (GET OFF MY LAWN!)…. I’ve got several Win 7 Pro systems at home that I disabled the win 10 notifications, though I plan to upgrade them and was wondering just how much of a pain or success it has been. Yes, I know, Win 10 has 5,000 bazillion users now, but I’d like to hear from some fellow engineers….who have to be the Help Desk for their families…. Thanks!
