One reason why as a consulting org we are recommending that none of our corporate networks migrate to Vista until Jan of next year. We will setup images and deployments on BDD last quarter to allow for deployments as PC's are replaced, but there are soooo many issues with Vista and common apps, not to mention the performance and network issues prevalent. This may be a case of SP2 before a product is truly ready for mass deployment. Don't get me wrong, I like Vista for what it does, I just don't like what you lose to get it.

How does one give additional permissions to SYSTEM and ADMINISTRATORS? The only member of the latter does not seem to have the right to change permissions on that file... BTW, a GOOGLE search indicates that this is a common problem lacking a common solution. -------------------------------------- Richard McClary, Systems Administrator ASPCA Knowledge Management 1717 S Philo Rd, Ste 36, Urbana, IL 61802 217-337-9761 http://www.aspca.org "Tim Vander Kooi" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote on 01/07/2008 02:18:33 PM: > Normally you should have at least 4 groups on the root: Users, > Administrators, System, and Trusted Installers; all of them except for > Users should have Full Control rights.
