Our DNS servers are running Windows 2003 SP2 (*not R2*). Every now and then, at seemingly random intervals, a random fellow domain server (also running 2003 Server) will drop off DNS and I have to IPCONFIG /REGISTERDNS. Zone aging/scavenging are both set to 1 day, could this be part of the problem? Additional info is the zone in question is AD-integrated and allows only secure updates.
