I think he was joking, but....dunno...fitting in personality-wise is
also important. People around me don't have to like my hobbies, and I
don't have to like theirs. How they handle the difference of opinion is
important, in hobbies and work. As long as they can enjoy a good laugh
and not take life too damn serious we're good. 

 

Work hard, know how to find solutions, laugh hard.

IMHO, I don't list hobbies.. I didn't even want to have future employers
see my personal blog site in case they had a political, social or
religious stigma against something I may have blogged about. Sometimes
hobbies can help, sometimes not. 

 

What if the hiring manager hates your hobbie? had a former employee who
always left early on Friday's and wasn't available for on-call because
of kayaking..
